ROH Indies is a research project initiated by scientists at University of Edinburgh, University of Liverpool and University of Western Australia. It combines human geography, history, behavioural ecology, and social psychology to study people-street dog interactions (or Indie dogs, as they are referred to in India), dog ecology, and rabies prevention in urban and rural India in an effort to understand why rabies persists as a public health problem in India. The logo required to be an appropriate representation of the Indian Pariah dog in the Indian streets.
