Hello. I am Ashvini Menon.

I am a Lead User Experience Designer at Salesforce, India. My responsibilities involve solving for digital-experiences. This is through a detailed understanding of our end-users and available technology, through pro-active leading & cross-team collaboration.

My core values involve - designing with sincere intent and purpose. I enjoy understanding & collaborating with all stake-holders in a design process. The natural world, heavily influences my passion for the field of design.

Previously, I was a Design-Entrepreneur, leading my own design studio 'Ashvini Menon Visual Design Studio, Mumbai' with a design team for 6 and a half years. We focused on sustainable design solutions as our core. We partnered with organisations across sectors - WWF, Greenpeace, Bombay Natural History Society, University of Edinburgh, Government of India, Visa, Google & Microsoft - to name a few. Our scope of work spanned from branding, illustrations, print collaterals, digital experiences, ambient media and design-consultancy.

My professional journey into the industry started with my internship & employment at Microsoft, Hyderabad, India, for a year and a half, where I worked as a User Experience Designer for search & AI-assistants.

I hold a Masters in Graphic Design from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, India. This is where I discovered the humungous power of good design, especially for social impact. Prior to this, I studied my Bachelors in Applied Art (Commercial Art) from the Rachana Sansad College for Applied Art & Craft, Mumbai, India, which sprouted my evergreen love for communication design.

Alongside my current UX practice, I am also an editorial cartoonist since 2017, drawing attention upon our social issues on how we deal with our natural environment. These cartoon strips have been published in The Hindu and are now being published in the Protected Area Update.

My work has consistently garnered good-press and recognitions throughout my academic and professional years in design. This includes the Salesforce Women of Impact Award 2024 and being cited in major publications like Forbes India.
